Charlton Heston well known film actor of the 1950's and 60's passed away at the age of eighty three. Heston won best actor for his role as Ben-Hur and parted the Red Sea as Moses. In 2002 Heston revealed that he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Most notably Heston was the President of the NRA and was even President of the Screen Actors Guild. Heston was very active in politics and backed several conservative Presidential candidates. Charlton Heston is truly a figure that is larger than life but although he is gone the memories he left behind for us on film will forever live on.
