In Oakland, California yesterday the Oakland Bay Bridge collapsed. Now the city is urging people to use public transportation and get off the road. The accident occurred due to an oil tanker that "crashed and burst into flames, leaving one of the nation's busiest spans in a state of near paralysis. Officials said traffic could be disrupted for months." This is according to foxnew.com. Spectators said that the flames shot up 200 feet in the air and the heat was overwhelming.
