Hostage Situtation

Police in Rochester, New Hampshire responded to a hostage situation at a local Hillary Clinton campaign office on North Main Street. Reporters told foxnews.com that the man responsible was in his mid-forties with salt and pepper colored hair, and had asked to speak with the Senator from New York earlier in the day. The man returned claiming to have a bomb and the situation escalated from there. At this moment all hostages have been released according to further reports but the hostage taker remains within the New Hampshire office alone. The situation has lasted for over two hours. A campaign release issued about 2:45pm stated that "There is an ongoing situation in our Rochester, N.H., office. We are in close contact with state and local authorities and are acting at their direction. We will release additional details as appropriate." Just a week or so before Thanksgiving Americans everywhere give thanks to their heroes. Some are their brothers, sisters, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. But no matter who they are to us they will always truly be the stars among our stripes this Veterans Day. Let us remember those brave men and women who fought for this nation, who served us in more ways than we will ever know, and who did it all from their hearts. The last American survivor of the night to remember Lillian Gertrud Asplund passed away last year. Mrs. Dainton was born in 1911 and was too young to remember the Titanics final moments and the deaths of 1500 people including her own father. Mrs. Dainton did not wish any publicity over her death and therefore asked to be buried before any public announcement of her passing be made. Her wishes were respected. It's That Time Again.....

Hardly seems like four years ago when our nation held the Presidential Election of 2004. Now it's that time again...yep, the Republicans are duking it out for their shot at the White House, the Democrats are equally divided among Hillary and Obama and the battle continues with South Carolina. And this in itself could be a premonition of things to come for this up-coming Presidential Election. As with Abraham Lincoln South Carolina was a dividing point between war and peace. Next year it will be between Republican and Democrat. But the state has not voted for a Republican since Ronald Reagan in 1980. Right now the four top Republican contenders are Mitt Romney, Rudy Giuliani, Fred Thompson and John McCain. What is making this race unlike the one in '04 is the undecideds. Many people are contending that it will come down to Giuliani and Romney, others lean more to Thompson's side, and still others are liking McCain's stance. Whoever it is it will not be long until there is a clear winner, until then though it's not a bad idea to take in everyone's opinion and the candidates stances on the major issues. Hero Hayden Attempts to Save Dolphins

Hayden Panettiere, star of the NBC hit show HEROES, made a bold stand against Japanese fishing practices. It's all over the Inside Edition and E! networks. The internet is buzzing about her heroic attempt at saving dolphins as they were to be cornered and killed in a cove surrounded with nets to block them their escape. Hayden was one member of the Save Japan Dolphin's coalition. The group is trying to stop the practice of slaughtering over an estimated 23,000 dolphins each year. The United States has condemned Japan for the offense, however like Hayden and the groups attempts, the unpopularity of the practice in the states has done little to sway the Japanese to stop. Angry fishermen stabbed at Hayden and the group members as they stood between them and the dolphins. Hayden was caught coming to shore sobbing and afterwards faced several hours of questioning by local law officials as the group reached a traffic stop. It is very disturbing to see such practices take place. Hayden was quoted as saying after the ordeal in the water " One little baby dolphin stuck his head out and kind of looked at me, and the thought that it's no longer with us is really difficult to take."
