Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor passed away early today. A family friend informed reporters that he received a phone call at 5:30 AM this morning from Taylor's father letting him know of his sons passing. Sean Taylor was 24 years old and died of a gunshot wound while his home was being broken into. The gunshot damaged an artery in Taylor's upper leg. After being airlifted to the Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL Taylor never regained consciousness. Police are now investigating the break in that comes eight days after the shooting took place. Several family members were present while the break-in took place. Taylor will be remembered for his love of football and for the way he played football by Redskin fans everywhere.
