A Day That Changed America and a Generation

I can remember September 11, 2001 very well as I am fairly certain that most of you can. It was a day which not only changed America but it changed an entire generation. Unlike our parents who lived through the Vietnam War we were staring straight into the past. This was something that only our grandparents had experienced during Pearl Harbor. The enemy had come to us. Today we remember those who lost their lives, both men and women. Mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers, and sisters. People whose families are still trying to heal even six years later. We remember the heroes who risked their own lives to save countless others, that brought a city together and united Americans all over the country. So let me say thank you to all those brave men and women and their families. Let me tell you that for generations to come that they will all be remembered and honored on this day.
