He is probably best known for being accredited with saving some 1200 Jews during the Holocaust. Oscar Schindler was a said businessman who owned a factory in Krakow, Poland during German occupation. On this day in 1974 Schindler died leaving behind a legacy all his own. Steven Spielberg made "Schindler's List" in 1993 based on Oscar Schindler's list.
